What We Believe
statement of faith
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and life. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in God the Father, the sovereign Creator and Ruler of all things, who is holy, just, and full of love and mercy. (Genesis 1:1, John 1:12, Psalm 103:19)
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the redemption of humanity, and rose again bodily from the dead. He now sits at the right hand of the Father and will return to judge the living and the dead. (John 1:1-14, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, and indwells, empowers, and sanctifies all who trust in Jesus Christ. (John 16:7-8, Romans 8:9)
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is the gift of God, received by repentance and faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9)
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, which is made up of all true believers. The local church is an expression of the global body and exists for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Acts 2:42)
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to consummate His kingdom, judge the world, and establish the new heavens and the new earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 21:1-4)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal judgment. (John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe that God designed marriage as a covenantal, lifelong union between one man and one woman. We believe that human sexuality is a gift from God and should be expressed only within the context of biblical marriage. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6)
We reject the false teaching known as the “Prosperity Gospel,” which distorts the biblical message of the true gospel. Bible Call firmly believes that the Christian life is not marked by the pursuit of material wealth, health, or success as signs of God’s favour. Instead, we affirm that suffering, sacrifice, and humble service are central to the life of every disciple of Christ. (1 Timothy 6:9-10, Matthew 16:24)
We believe in the mandate given by Jesus to His followers to go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything He has commanded. We are committed to fulfilling this call through evangelism, discipleship, and serving our communities. (Matthew 28:18-20)
